Jnr training camp

30 swimmers
3 days
4 sessions to go.

Sam Thiele - tuff man award after giving the main set yesterday all he had. Gatorade chuck half way thru and kept going. Followed closely by Max Dalton, he was breathing thru his ears mouth and nose during the main set this morning.
Special mention to Angus Brabner. He gives the a new meaning to Faster, Harder, Longer, Stronger. Can't wait to see this kid swimming in a few yrs.

Great session by all this morning. Enjoy the photos.

Camp

Lying on a deck chair in sunny QLD on the last morning of a week long camp, it's hard not to realise what a great experience it has been.

The weather has held up beautifully, the training has been intense and well executed, and the squad look fit, tanned and ready to take on allcomers.

A few highlights of the trip include the day at Dreamworld, and the accompanying rides and entertainment, and the 'ink' that the boys of the squad sported for a session in an homage to Dave.

Whilst the overall distance swum may not measure up to previous years, the effort, enthusiasm and application of every athlete served as more than compensation. Pace work sets, drills, starts, turns and finishes have all been sharpened in preparation for a week of spectacular racing at States.

Every member of the trip will take their own memories from the time away, but not one of 13 swimmers and 3 coaches will recall the week with anything less than a Cheshire Cat grin.
